In an extraordinary display of sportsmanship, Tottenham skipper Heung-min Son demonstrated incredible integrity during yesterday’s match against Sheffield United.

The incident occurred when a Sheffield player appeared to punch Son. The South Korean’s reaction was a bit exaggerated, leading the referee to show a red card.

However, what Son did next was incredible. He immediately appealed to the referee, insisting that the offence did not warrant a red card.

His honesty and commitment to fair play were evident as he passionately argued that the Sheffield player should not be sent off for the minor altercation.

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven was visibly upset by his skipper’s decision to tell the truth, likely concerned about the implications for their team.

The referee ultimately reviewed the incident and overturned the red card, allowing the Sheffield player to remain on the pitch.

Spurs went on to win the game 3-0 regardless, finishing their season on a winning note.
